Emma and @leanna_azzolini

I found Emma 15 years ago in front of a school I was teaching at in South Central LA when she was a baby. My plan was to find her a home because I couldn't have her in my apartment. When I took her to the vet after school I was told that she had sarcoptic mange and was contagious...even to humans. After rehabilitating her for 6 weeks I was too attached and couldn't giver her up. Best thing that ever happened to us! I love everything about her. She's so smart, sweet,...

Stitch and @blairzy86

Upon arrival I first see Faith, she was dirty and very skinny, and I observed that there was a belt around her neck, as I approached her one of my coworkers said watch out for the brown on, he is protective of her. I look around the corner and see ACE. Ace also has a belt around his neck and is just as...

Nolan, Chelsea, Champ, Hulk and @dendogs

I have four dogs.  Three of them are “foster fails” from local rescues.  We had Nolan (our younger lab) for about four years when my husband and I became foster parents.  We have had 13 fosters.  Dogs and kittens.  Chelsea (the Chihuahua mix) came to us as a foster from our local ACPS at just 5 weeks old.  Her mother had stopped nursing the litter.  Chelsea and her sisters needed people to step in.  Of course, we fell in love and made the decision to adopt her ourselves. ...
