My first pit rescue was Bella, a 6 month old beauty! I just happened to be reading Craiglist ads and just wanted to take a look at the dog posts. I saw an ad for a "bait dog" in South Sacramento and it immediately caught my attention. I emailed the "owner/seller" and told him I had cash and to please call me. The ad was removed almost immediately and I lost hope. Two days later the "dude" hit me up and I told him I had a $100 in my hand. My son and I drove to the home and it was in a horrible neighborhood and our hearts were pounding. A young man appeared at the door and handed me "Chicka". We couldn't get out of there fast enough. Grateful she was only dehydrated, other than that in good shape. To this day, she favors water over food (though she doesn't shy away from food!). We renamed her Bella and she is 3 1/2 years old now. She is such a smart loving pup! Thank you for all you do for canines and their owners!
